COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Van de Groep & Olsthoorn collect Personal Data only to the extent necessary for carrying out their assignments: finding candidates for open positions. Personal Data can concern both potential and current candidates for a position and business contacts of Van de Groep & Olsthoorn.
Personal Data that are processed include, e.g. data from the CV, e-mails or letters, name and address details, date of birth, education, current and previous positions, salary details and interview reports prepared by consultants.
Van de Groep & Olsthoorn may use available Personal Data for sending a message by post, telephone or e-mail, or for personally contact, in the following cases:
- to inform candidates about and invite candidates to events;
- to inform candidates on current open positions;
- to send candidates newsletters and/or press releases;
- to congratulate candidates on a new position;
- to consult candidates due to their specific expertise;
- to maintain contact with candidates;
- to keep business contacts informed of news and developments.
Data Subjects can always unsubscribe for messages or indicate that they do not wish to continue contact any further.

RETENTION PERIOD FOR PERSONAL DATA
When a candidate registers with Van de Groep & Olsthoorn, that is the start of, in general, a long-term relationship. Candidates do not change jobs every year, which means that Personal Data must be retained for an extended period.
Van de Groep & Olsthoorn handle Personal Data carefully and retain the Personal Data properly and securely, until there is a request from the Data Subject to erase the Personal Data or until Van de Groep & Olsthoorn decide to erase the Personal Data from the files. Data Subjects will be informed of the erasure of Personal Data.
SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA
Employees of Van de Groep & Olsthoorn take the best possible care of Personal Data that they manage and have a duty of confidentiality for confidential information entrusted to them by the client.
Van de Groep & Olsthoorn deploy technical and organizational security measures to protect the Personal Data that we process as well as possible against a breach. Our security measures are continuously improved in accordance with the (ICT) technological developments.
Upon noting a data leak (breach), the Data Subjects affected will be informed, and a report will be made to the competent authorities.
RIGHT OF ACCESS
Data Subjects whose Personal Data are processed have a right to access their Personal Data that we process.
RIGHT TO RECTIFY AND ERASE
If a Data Subject’s Personal Data are incorrect or have changed, Van de Groep & Olsthoorn will correct these data, upon request.
If a Data Subject indicates that he or she wishes to be forgotten, that Data Subject’s Personal Data will be erased by Van de Groep & Olsthoorn from all files. Data Subjects will be informed of this erasure.
WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT, RIGHT TO OBJECT, LIMITATION AND TRANSFER
Data Subjects can object to the processing of their Personal Data. Data Subjects have the right to limit the processing and the transfer of the Personal Data we store to an affiliated party or Processor.
